Native Americans gather in Portland to oppose the megaload shipments

A really exciting piece of solidarity occurred in Portland five days ago but didn’t receive the attention it deserved. A group of Native American singers and activists gathered at the confluence of the Columbia and Willamette Rivers to protest oil companies shipping Tar Sands mining equipment over Highway 12.
